A few weeks ago I took a soldering class and learned how to make stacking rings. Finally digging out all the supplies and playing around today! Quite a change from my usual leather and stone designs and I've had so much fun trying out this new (hard!) technique. Everything has to be so precise when soldering, which is different than my typical creative attitude which has me creating the piece as I go, with no real "rules" in place. So many things come in to play when using the sterling silver and gold along with the solder and torch ~ heat, space, time, precision. I definitely have a new appreciation for anything soldered!! Excited to begin adding some new styles to the collection!
